Beach tree
Could not bring myself to crop the image so cheated and rotated instead. Driftwood not only has a natural beauty about it but is also in some way mysterious...how did it get where it is ? How far did it travel ? How long was it as sea ? Some people seem to make a living out making sculpture from it .... appears Canadian may be the best ?

Driftwood is amazing I agree. Very nicely shot and the rotation is a nice compromise to cropping!
What an interesting piece of driftwood. Nice composition with it snaking through the frame.
I love your creative cropping solution. I never would have thought of that. The composition is great, looks like a fantastic beach.
Oh, and by the way, Canadian is always best.
Clever way to approach a tough crop. I love this shot it's got such pretty pastel tones which I love.
Love how you angled this shot!! Beautiful subject, too, and the blue skies and waters make a lovely background!!
Love the way how you present this. Might use this idea for a future post as well. :)
Great shape of the tree and fascinating texture. Some people seem to make a living out of anything, don't they ;-)?
driftwood rocks!! .. & as Slackie Onassis says; driftwood is sculpture!
as for the rotating & not cropping .. i have pondered this idea before, but have not had the right subject for it .. but this is perfect - very very nice!! ;)
I love this one too, Jasp...it's perfect. Wish I could stretch out on it, and take a nap in the sun. :)
...
I also like the rotation vs. cropping. Makes it more dramatic, I think.
If you would have cropped it would be so beautiful.
Nice solution.
