Beach house

I was wondering what the motivation was to build a house here, perhaps it was a cafe at one time, or maybe just too much run or sun had taken hold of the builder. Looks like nature has fought back and is winning the battle. The link in the previous post is Wikipedia's list of population densities for those that like lists.

I love little oddities like this. It's fun speculating on why and what happened. Cool find.

I'm sure it seemed like a good idea at the time...

I mean, the idea is kinda cool... but not very smart.

Great photo. If this building could talk, I bet it would have a great story to tell.

looks like a great place to live! sun sea & sand right on your doorstep, & the stars above your head each night ;)

Great shot of a great find! Was the house built on soil and was that washed away by the sea, leaving just rocks?

Hi Jasp,

How are you?

Really well, I hope.

I'm having a look around your archives this morning. All your photos are gorgeous! As always.

I love this one...what a great image, and the thoughts and questions that arise from it. The steps not reaching the sand. The lack of a roof. It’s all very poetic, this sad little house. I’d like to paint it and hang curtains and make it pretty; fix the roof and door and steps.

...

I do hope you’re well. Hope the sun is shining. :)

Happy Tuesday!
