There is a big debate about whether zoos should exist or not, I think there are good arguments on both sides, but either way this guy in undeniably cute.
Agreed...on both counts. Although as cute and cuddly as he looks I doubt if it would be a good idea to go up and hug him. He might be looking at us and thinking mmmmmm....Lunch!
My first thought is always that animals should run free in their environment, but I think a zoo should exist for those who can't look after themselves anymore, or have been hurt by us, wouldn't that be grand? He is a beauty :)
I go back and forth on the idea as well... with zoos, we have the opportunity to look into the animals eyes and perhaps catch a glimpse of what they are about or at least put a face to the creatures that we might not care about otherwise. This image is indeed wonderful.
