Stilt houses

Along the river in Tai O are stilt houses, while people are living in small metal buildings the public playgrounds and amenities are generally new and clean. This is the view on the other side of the bridge from yesterday's post. The smell of dried fish is strong here, the streets are lined with shops selling them.

It's interesting to see how other people live. Is this kind of housing considered decent or is it generally an impoverished area? Forgive my ignorance in this question.

Indee, fancy living in metal houses on poles. The boats are almost larger than the houses themselves, which must be ovenlike in summer.
